I bought this book for my dad. James K. Polk Craven (shown on cover) was my great grand father. My father wanted to find out some things about his family and this was the first place we started. He has read the book cover to cover and shares a lot of the family history with me. Very interesting reading, especially when some of the names I remember as a young child but never knew them.

"Cravens in the Civil War" is a well done reference book, easy to read. Ivy Nance did a great job putting it together!

This book is about my Craven and was filled with information I have been researching for years.

Could have done a much better job on the pictures. Looks like copies taken off of copies made from Ancestry.com screens.
